Annual club BBQ to be held at Tuttle

Posted by Webmaster in general

Attention all anthropology majors and enthusiasts. Before the weather starts to change on us, we’re going to be having our annual Anthropology Club BBQ. In the past we have traditionally held it in City Park, but this year we’re trying something a bit different that will prove to be a bit more entertaining. We’ve obtained a rental cabin out at TUTTLE LAKE! and will be holding the BBQ and events there.

We’ll be starting at 5pm on September 22 and run until about 11pm. Admission is potluck, so bring your favorite dish (preferably something other people will want to eat as well), a beverage, or if you’re short on time and can’t prepare something, a simple 3$ donation will suffice. A small price to pay for an evening of free food and entertaining
activities.

Speaking of which, we’ll have various activities running on late into the evening; volleyball, monster badminton, games, movies…you name it and I’m sure we can make it happen. Also feel free to bring your own music, games and musical instruments. We will be sitting around a bonfire…and lets face it, what’s a bonfire without live music?

The official BBQ will end around 11pm, but a few of us will be staying the night at the cabin and anyone and everyone is welcome to do the same, though space may be limited so bring a sleeping bag.

Please RSVP (mah9999@ksu.edu) if you will be attending by Wednesday the 20th. This way the committee can plan how much additional food we will need. People can still come after the RSVP deadline, but at least this way we’ll have a semi-accurate headcount.

P.S - We’ll supply the S’mores.
This event is open to majors and non-majors alike.
Driving directions to the cabin will be sent out later this week.

Thanks,
Mark Hanson - Social Committee
