Update on Annual Club BBQ

We are still on for this Friday’s BBQ. Starting at 5pm at River Pond out at Tuttle Lake. (Driving directions are listed below.) Please remember to bring a dish, beverage, or 3$ donation. Also remember to wear appropriate clothing as there will undoubtedly be volleyball, ultimate Frisbee and other such physical events.

There is regrettably, one minor change to the original plan. Due to unforeseen forces of nature (and some other non-nature induced reasons), there will be no cabin available afterwards. I realize many of you were excited about this prospect. I’m very sorry and hope this does not deter any of you away from joining us because we are still going to have A LOT of fun. We are still holding the BBQ in the exact same area, and everything else from the original plan will be exactly the same…only minus one cabin. For those of you who still wish to stay after the official BBQ, we will be camping at the same location, so
feel free to join us.

Driving Directions:

  1. Head north out Tuttle Creek Blvd (US-24W) towards Tuttle Lake
    • follow for approx. 5 miles
  2. Take right at KS-13 (signs will say Tuttle Lake)
    • This will take you straight up onto the dam
  3. On the other end of the dam, take your first right (*literally at
    the very end of the dam)
  4. Follow winding road all the way down to the base of the dam and take your first left
    • you should see the State Park Office and a toll booth in the middle of the road
    • DO NOT PAY FOR ANY PARK TOLLS OR VEHICLE PASSES – THIS HAS ALREADY BEEN TAKIN CARE OF.
  5. At the T-section just past the toll-booth, take a right
    • Follow for approx 400meters
  6. Take your first left and follow the road until you spot us.
    • We will be on the left-hand side of the road just past the cabins at shelter #6
