Below are the minutes from our meeting on November 11, 2006. We got an update from all committees.

• Caroline (President) - No report
• Lee (Vice-President) - No report 
• Melissa (Treasurer) - No report
• Jessalyn (Secretary) - No report 
• Small Trip: Recap….it was awesome! 9 people attended. Participated in Dim Sum, viewed dance performance, etc. Plenty of pictures, will send soon. Club funding was awesome! Really made a difference.
• Big Trip: looking at either Spring Break or end of summer. If during the summer it must be after Wesch’s intersession class and after the field school. For those who don’t know we’re planning a trip around the Indian Mounds of the midwest.
• Speaker: Dixie West - Archaeology. Lives in Manhattan. Want to get ahold of her to speak during the Spring Semester. This semester is probably unlikely. Many people have been contacted to speak and nobody is interested!!
• Social: movie night? We should be able to get Waters 201 or 350 to use to show some old 16mm ethnographic films. It’ll be awesome! We’ll put our own words to it! We can do this on a Sunday and have a potlatch. If we do that then we can get the International Student Center. They have a huge kitchen and we can all bring something to cook! Looking at January 12th or 13th.
• Conference: March 29, do this if you are going to Central States conference! Also show films, not just papers. Film festival!! WA 137 - we’ll feel fancy. Abstracts for papers/films are due January 15. This conference really won’t cost any money. We can tell people to bring their own food? Adam B. will be sending an email concerning the conference so people have all the info they need
• T-Shirts: We don’t want to use the Indian design because people will definitely not like a native american portrayed in that fashion. Only 1 other design was received. The more shirts we order, the bigger the discount. We will probably choose a white text and then just let each person choose which color shirt they want theirs printed on. Will end up being like $13-$15 per shirt since we want to use shirts that use fair trade, not made in sweat shops, etc. Mark will send an email concerning the t-shirts and ordering so watch for that. We need quotes for the back of the t-shirts! E-mail one of your favorite quotes (relating to anthropology) to me (jad0427@ksu.edu) by Thanksgiving and then I will post the quotes on the club website for voting.
• Fundraiser: December 2, Saturday, 8pm (actually 7:45pm) - be at Bramlage or be square! Cleanup, we make tons of money for trips. Anyone that went on the small trip or plans to go on any other trips that require club funding should definitely be at this fundraiser. We need at least 12 people. If you will be doing this, please email Diana at dwilbert@ksu.edu. ASAP! Thanks! And we will not be doing the Spaghetti fundraiser anymore due to the fact that we would have to charge sales tax.
