Flintknapping and Lithic Technology Workshop Being Offered
The Kansas Anthropological Association (KAA) is offering a Flintknapping and Lithic Technology workshop February 17-18 , 8:00 am-5:00 pm in Lindsborg. Â This workshop will involve review of rock types and how they are fashioned into different kinds of tools, hands-on experience with stone tools, basic analytical methods, and flintknapping demonstrations. Â This is a rare opportunity to get intensive exposure to a key aspect of prehistoric archaeology and I encourage anyone interested in archaeology to attend. There is a small fee to attend - $10 per person, plus membership in the KAA (if you are not already a member). Â Membership fees for a student for one year are only $5.00! Â (Fees can be paid at the door.)
