Introductions- A few new people came to the meeting. We introduced ourselves and told them a little bit about the club. Then we got down to business.

A. Big Trip- Maria reporting

She’s contacting people for free stuff along the way.
Distributed plans for the trip.

2. A site archaeologist has offered a guided tour through Winterville Mounds
Using K-state van suggested, but decided that that would be more expensive.

3.When to leave?
Dates of the trip: Sat. March 17 (St. Patrick’s)- Sunday 18
Leaving- Saturday, around 1pm
Need headcount to reserve camping spaces. –email Maria, deadline February 14

B. Social Committee
Ice skating! Study people’s reaction to falling? Video?
Friday Feb. 2nd 6pm, dinner afterward

This Saturday- Bramlage cleanup
Movie night afterward???
(BTW- Bramlage is AWESOME. MOST FUN YOU’LL EVER HAVE! Please volunteer.)

C. Mark (Speaking for Adam) – Sapiens Symposium abstracts deadline: Feb. 16

D. Speakers Committee-planning to talk to Professor Ritterbush about inviting Dixie West to speak, possibly announcing it in her classes to ensure audience.

E. Graduate panel again this semester? Something to discuss next time.

[note- There weren’t very many people at this meeting. Some committees weren’t represented at all. I think the general idea was to send someone from each committee to every General meeting. Committee members, please tell us in advance if no one from your Committee can attend, and send a brief update on you activities with someone.
