NPS Internships

Posted by Webmaster in general

E-mail from Dr. Ritterbush:

It may seem early, but it is time to start thinking about summer 2008 internships.  A wide variety of internships (many paid) are available around the country, but you will need to do some research to find one that fits your interests.  That work is well worth it, however, as internships are excellent ways to learn through hands-on experiences, provide experience while exploring potential future career, prepare you for that career, and to network with others.  Here are a couple links to information about internships in many areas that overlap with anthropology that are in the National Park Service.  They are more than just park rangers. These internship programs include experience in archaeology, museum curation, visitor services, heritage preservation, architectural history, NAGPRA, GIS, conservation, and much more!!

I hope you’ll check some of these out to see if there is something that will interest you and help you prepare for life after KSU.
