Jane C. Waldbaum Archaeological Field School Scholarship
The Archaeological Institute of America is pleased to announce the Waldbaum Field School Scholarship for summer 2008. Established in honor of AIA Past President Jane Waldbaum, this scholarship provides $1000 each for up to five successful applicants to help pay expenses associated with participation on an archaeological excavation or survey project (minimum stay: one month). The scholarship is open to junior and senior undergraduate students and first-year graduate students who are currently enrolled at a college or university in the U.S. or Canada. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have not previously participated in an archaeological excavation. Students majoring in archaeology or related disciplines are especially encouraged to apply.
The Waldbaum Scholarship will be awarded to undergraduates and first-year graduate students only. Final deadline for all required materials is MARCH 15, 2008.
