Anthropology Club

Hello once again! I am so glad for all the people who are planning on going on our small trip and are super excited about it. I know most of you are in for sure, but I was hoping that everyone who DEFINITELY wanted to go would hit me up one more time to confirm. BE SURE TO READ BELOW, AS THERE HAVE BEEN SOME CHANGES TO THE SCHEDULE!!!

If you have no idea what I am talking about you should also read below and if everyone could give me some sort of idea with a possible percentage on how likely it is you will attend (I know it is still ~2 weeks away), that would help me out a ton with reservations for dim sum along with planning for transportation and lodging.  I would also like to put out there that the schedule may seem kind of kray-z. We have some different groups doing different things, but we are confident it will all work out fantastic!!! We’re planning on getting club t-shirts made up, but first we must answer the question: what do we put on them?

That’s where you come in!

Draw up a design for the t-shirt (preferably one that says “KSU Anthropology Club” somewhere on it, so we can claim it as a club shirt) and submit it to our brand new anthropology club mailbox. (more…)

The Plains Anthropological Society will be holding its annual meeting/conference next month (Nov 8-11) in Topeka (it will never be any closer than this!).  This is the largest regional anthropological conference in North America.  I hope you will plan to attend. (Register in advance to save money.)

We will be having a “general” or “business” meeting (Caroline has mistakenly called it both in the past) on Monday, October 9, at 7pm in Waters 201. Everyone is invited, but committees need to come prepared with an update to share with the rest of us.

Also, if you haven’t paid dues yet, this would be an awesome time for that. Dues are $5/semester, and checks need to be made out to “KSU Anthropology Club”.
